Programme Anuradhapura Integrated Urban Development Project

(AFD Assisted) VACANCIES

Strategic Cities Development Programme is an urban development initiative set up under the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing with the objective of improving the urban infrastructure, services, mobility, traffic & transport facilities, upgrading of public urban spaces and institutional capacity development of the stakeholders in the selected cities enabling them to effectively manage assets developed through the investment of the programme. The programme aims to bring about transformations the city regions through strategic investments by leveraging on the city/city region's particular cultural and economic assets. The Programme is supported by the World Bank and French Development Agency (AFD) and it is currently operational in Kandy, Galle and Jaffna under the World Bank credit facilities and Anuradhapura Integrated Urban Development Project is supported by the AFD. The Urban Development Authority is currently functioning as the Project Implementing Agency.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified, dynamic and committed candidates for the posts of Civil Engineer, Architect, Technical Officer, and Quantity Surveyor of Anuradhapura Integrated Urban Development Project. Qualifications and experience applicable to the positions are as follows,

(1) A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field which is recognized by the UGC or an associate membership/similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized Professional Institute in the relevant field with at least 07 years post qualifying experience.

(2) An Officer of the Govt. all island services class 111/11 or above or similar status in the relevant field with at least 07 years' experience in class 111/11 post.

• Technical Officer, Quantity Surveyor

(Anuradhapura PIU)

(1 or 2or 3 below)

(1) A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field which is recognized by the UGC or having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification level 7 issued by technical/vocational training institute accepted by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission for a post related to technical field and at least 02 years' experience in the required area of specialization.

(2) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification level 6, issued by a Technical /Vocational training institute accepted by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission for a post related to Technical field and at least 07 years experience in the required area of specialization.

(3) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification level 5, issued by a Technical Vocational training institute accepted by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission for a post related to Technical field and at least 12 years' experience in the required area of specialization
